Other than Bukit Batok Nature Park’s history of being a quarry site in Singapore, Bukit Batok Nature Park also has a much older history relating to World War II. At the memorial plaque positioned within the park, you can pay respect to the soldiers and casualties of World War II. The Lorong Sesuai location was chosen by the Japanese as a memorial for the fallen soldiers during World War II in Singapore. To stop the returning Allies from defiling the shrine after the war, the Japanese had it destroyed. Two pillars and 120 concrete steps up to a transmission tower are all that are left within Bukit Batok Nature Park.

Visit the quarry

Last but not least, visit the well-known quarry pool of Bukit Batok Nature Park and take in the beautiful scenery that surrounds the entire area. The peaceful quarry pond and cliff face of the ancient granite quarry are just beyond the playground. It is situated in the centre of the Quarry, which was once a mining site. You would not want to leave the area around the pool because it is so peaceful. Visitors can stand at a plaza and take in the quarry scenery. You can see the transmission tower and the face of the quarry from the plaza.

How to go to Bukit Batok Nature Park

There are various ways on how to go to Bukit Batok Nature Park, but you are strongly recommended to either drive or take a cab to this park, because the nearest MRT stations in Singapore are approximately 2 km away from Bukit Batok Nature Park still, and you would need to walk, as there are no applicable transit buses from the nearest MRT.

The car park at Bukit Batok Nature Park is located at along Bukit Batok East Avenue 2 of Singapore, and the Bukit Batok Nature Park carpark fee is $0.60 per 30 minutes or part thereof. Between the hours of 1030pm to 7am, there is a maximum car park charge of $5.

Bukit Batok Nature Park nearest MRT

The nearest MRT to here would be the Bukit Batok MRT station (NS2) or Bukit Gombak MRT station (NS3). However, you want to note that it is still approximately 2km away from the entrance of the park. They are both approximately of equal distance to the park.
